Presentation to a Hero: Following Raid on Guest & Philips (Beverley)
We would like to say a HUGE Thank you to the delivery driver from DPD who tried to block the raiders getaway car with his delivery van. The kind hearted delivery driver quickly realised what was happening as he arrived at our Guest & Philips jewellery shop in Beverley to make a delivery. He quickly manoeuvered his van to block the escape route of the raiders car. He was then forced to move when one of the raiders pointed a shotgun at him!

Everyone at Guest and Philips would like to thank members of the public for the support, and well-wishes we have received since the raid on our Beverley jewellery store. We have received letters and emails and many of you have popped in too. We have also been praised for reopening our doors shortly after the raid. Brand new watches, mainly Cartier were stolen during the raid, nothing else has been taken.

Peridot, birthstone for August, was originally brought to European shores from St. John's Island, (now known as the Egyptian island of Zabargard), in the Red Sea by Crusaders in The Middle Ages. Early Christians considered it sacred and believed it gave success, peace and love.

Halcyon Days have released a collection to celebrate the birth of the Royal Baby Prince of Cambridge, Prince George Alexander Louis. The collection comprises ten keepsake boxes; including three Limited Edition Royal Birth Enamel Boxes. Also in the collection is a three piece set, plate, bowl and mug.

Congratulations from all at Guest & Philips Jewellers to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their baby boy, born on the 22nd July 2013 at 4:24pm (BST) and weighing 8lb 6oz. Crowds of well-wishers gathered last night at the gates to Buckingham Palace with everyone wanting to be a part of history. The third in line to the throne has been born and we all wait eagerly to hear what Royal couple will name the young prince.
